Suva Fiji, 21 December 2020: The Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) organised a talanoa session, in partnership with the University of Fiji, on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Talanoa provided a platform for sharing knowledge, identifying key issue areas in the NDC and SDG implementation process and engaging in discussions on the importance of NDCs and SDGs. The key findings of the project will be shared with relevant stakeholders involved in climate and sustainable development policymaking, particularly those responsible for international negotiations and national implementation. This could lead to better preparedness and coping capacity with regards to dealing with synergies and trade-offs between climate change and sustainable development.
